STORM joins IBPAP HR Summit 2017: Humanizing Disruption

STORM Technologies, the country’s largest flexible benefits provider, recently co-presented the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) HR Summit 2017 to engage in discussions on technological changes in the workplace, and how organizations can adapt to these disruptions.

In line with IBPAP’s Roadmap 2022 vision of growth and transformation in the Philippine IT-BPM industry, the 2-day summit revolved around the theme of Humanizing Disruption. The event gathered over 400 executives and HR practitioners from the IT-BPM industry and beyond to tackle global disruptive trends, digitization, diversity of human capital, the future of work, and the evolving role of HR in ensuring organizations are fully equipped to navigate and take advantage of these advancements.

According to IBPAP, HR organizations and professionals today must move from being “people managers to managers of organizational change,” take on a more strategic role and spearhead innovations on talent acquisition, engagement, training and development, and compensation and benefits.

STORM Technologies Founder and CEO Peter Cauton shared his insights in one of the Summit’s panel discussions on employee experience and employer branding, highlighting how HR and organizations as a whole can address the workforce shift by applying consumer principles and enhancing employer value proposition to attract and retain talent.

 

 

“The talent war has shifted to become a seller’s market. Employers must apply consumer principles to recruitment, dig deep to understand who they are, and define their unique value proposition. This will help them know exactly who they want–so they attract and retain talent that are completely aligned to their values and culture,” he said.
