Coca-Cola FEMSA PH innovates its benefits program with STORM

April 18, 2017 | News

Manila, Philippines – Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines has improved its incentives management with the implementation of a platform a rewards and incentives platform developed by STORM Technologies, a subsidiary of Xurpas, Inc.

STORM’s platform enables companies to increase employee motivation through social recognition and rewards. Top-performing employees are incentivized with points, which they can use to purchase goods and services from STORM’s exclusive online marketplace.

Coca-Cola FEMSA is the largest licensed bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company in the world. It expanded its operations in Asia through the Philippines in 2013—it has, since then, been considered to be among the top 100 Philippine corporations. KOF PH currently has over 10,000 employees in its 53 sales offices and 19 plants across the country. With such wide distribution and sales network, the company has continuously sought ways to reward its high-performing employees.

“Prior to this new platform , our incentives programs utilized traditional processes like procuring and storing items,” says Kris John Castro, On-Premise Executive of Trade Marketing, Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines. “Our main concern with the previous system was logistics – efficiently getting the right reward to the recipient on time.”

Since the STORM motivational platform launch in March 2016, Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines has experienced faster delivery of rewards and full visibility on all transactions. Disbursements are easy to track, recorded to the last cent, and measurable.

“One of the key advantages of the platform is that employees now have the flexibility and options to choose where to spend their hard-earned points,” Castro says. Instead of being limited to preselected items, employees are able to customize their individual rewards from the STORM marketplace’s 11,000+ offerings. Available items range from gadgets, appliances, and fashion to travel packages and gym memberships.

Seeing how the platform has improved the efficiencies of the company’s incentives system, Castro only hopes that it will continue to boost employee engagement and motivation. “As soon as our employees experienced the benefits of STORM’s platform– online retail therapy included – more employees have embraced the platform. We hope that we continue to enhance their experience with an increasingly robust marketplace,” he concludes.

STORM Technologies is a subsidiary of publicly-listed technology firm Xurpas, Inc. and is part of the solutions portfolio of Xurpas Enterprise – the country’s leading provider of digital innovations platforms for enterprise in the areas of employee engagement and retention, digital advertising, IT managed services, and data sciences. It consists of eight subsidiaries with operations throughout Asia, servicing top local and Fortune 500 companies.
